The Pentair Pentek CBC-10 is a bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) block filter cartridge engineered for effective chlorine taste and odor reduction in potable water systems. With a 0.5 micron nominal rating, the CBC-10 delivers finer filtration than standard carbon block cartridges, capturing sediment and particulates while maintaining over 20,000 gallons of chlorine reduction capacity at a 1 gpm flow rate. The carbon block construction provides enhanced dirt-holding capacity compared to granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, making the CBC-10 suitable as both a standalone filter and a polishing or pre-filter in multi-stage systems. Operating temperature range is 40 to 180 degrees F with an initial pressure drop of less than 20 psi at 1 gpm.The CBC-10 fits any standard 10-inch by 2.5-inch filter housing and is used across residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications. This 2-pack provides convenient replacement stock. Replace cartridges every 3 to 6 months or when a noticeable drop in water pressure or taste quality occurs. Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements.
